I love this super sweet wedding out of Australia of creative couple, Zoe + Evan, sent over by photographer Amanda Thorson. The floaty wedding dress is actually a prom dress re-worked by the bride and a seamstress.
From Zoe, "The ceremony took place in The English Gardens in Yarralumla, ACT. It was just a really beautiful setting just along the Lake Burley Griffin which was pretty special I suppose. My husband's great great Grandfather had a farm under what is now that lake and he (my husband) has named his band, The Burley Griffin, after it."
The pretty, offbeat and effortless-looking decorations all happened thanks to friends chipping in. Bridesmaids made bouquets. The bride collected scraps of fabric, frames and vintage table cloths to decorate and friends helped set up a photo booth the night before.
The groom's mother baked the cake and friends decorated it a few minutes before the reception.
A dear friend of the couple took care of most of the reception decorations. The bride made signs of glitter and paper.
All of these dreamy photographs were taken by Amanda Thorson, see more details from this wedding at her site.
