My favourite Olympics moment so far!

i was obsessed with ekaterina gordeeva in 94. obsessed :)

oh, they are so beautiful and happy! i taped every single moment of the 1994 olympics figure skating (drama!) and watched it over and over again. gordeeva and grinkov were so gorgeous!

Oh, my sentiments precisely! Their chemistry, artistry, and, yes, costume choices, are all very lovable indeed :)

i love olympic skating! as kids, my sisters and i were allowed to stay up late to watch. it was mesmerizing! :)

They did SO well! Go Canada!

so pretty! when i was little, people used to tell me i looked like ekaterina gordeeva. nothing made me happier.

Very happy for the Canadians last night! So lovely. Thanks for the link to G&G too :)

I loved watching them skate - exquisite. And I remember Gordeeva and Grinkov - so beautiful, and such a tragedy.

They are so joyful to watch! They were so genuinely happy and very well-deserved their victory!

I am with you - they were exquisite. And the costumes divine.

How stunning - so elegant. Thanks ever so much for sharing :)

was so moved when i saw them skate the other night and sadly missed last night's performance and so looking forward to catching up as well as watching the video you posted

I totally remember the tragedy behind the beautiful pairing of gordeeva and grinkov. Still breaks my heart.

I think I'm the only person on the planet not watching the Olympics. These ice-skating ensembles are particularly gorgeous and not at all costume-y.

So glad to see this post! After last night's performance I was immediately inspired to do a blog post, everything about them is so elegant + graceful. Love this roundup of their past costumes!

Thank you so much for the post! I was thinking the same thing! Tessa's and Scott's performance was amazing and all the costume choices so beautiful and really stood out!
BTW looks like Gordeeva/Grinkov also were choreographed by Marina Zueva. They were my favourite!

so with you — her costumes are all so sweet and pretty. such a nice change from the tacky costumes you often see. love how she always goes for soft muted colors and fluid fabrics.

I haven't watched the dance competition yet, but oh, I can't wait! I grew up ice dancing, and it is still one of my favorite things in life. So nice to hear from others who love it, too. It has been really nice to watch the Olympics again this year - that Jonny Weir is a character, but he skates like an old-school Russian, and I really admire the discipline and control of that conservative style. It's beautiful.

I remember the sad loss of Grinkov, yes. They had such a beautiful, fairy-tale story - it was such a pity to lose that.

Do you remember Marina Klimova (with her gorgeous red hair) and Sergei Ponomarenko? They are my forever-favorites!

isn't it gorgeous to watch? i think my favorite parts are the costumes and crazy makeup... thanks so much for sharing, and i hope you're having a wonderful week my dear!

I loved them too! They definitely were the best dressed.

brought tears to my eyes - with their delicate beauty and grace... Gorgeously skated!

Gordeeva & Grinkov are my favorite pairs skaters of all time. So beautiful together. It still breaks my heart that he's gone. Her costumes and their skating was impeccable.

Kristy Yamaguchi's costumes were also very beautiful as well. I still dream them.
